 the frame does not handle an 8 inch rotor and besides i don't like to slam on my brake like a noob and the 40 has the same amount of travel as any standard dual crown it is just stronger and lighter had had it on my kona but i sold it becasuse konas are little pussy poser bikes that 10 year olds use
